John BARNET, farmer, Ladoga, was b. in Butler CO, Ohio, June 7, 1813 and is the son of James and Hannah Barnett, who were natives of Washington Co, Pa, and removed to Montgomery Co, in in 1832, and settled in Clark Twp. Mr. B. now lives on the same farm, and has ever ever since he came to the County. He has taken an active part in the early improvements of the part of the County in which he lives. In 1841 he was elected to the to the legislature, and served in the session of 1841 he was elected to the legislature, and served in the session of 1841 and 1842. In 1832 he marr. Miss Jane CREASON, a native of Preble Co, Ohio who was b. in 1813 and departed this life in 1862. He marr. again, in 1863, Rebecca GREGG, formerly Rebecca WATKINS, daughter of George Watkins, who came to this County in 1831. Mr. B. has 13 children by former wife and 3 by present wife. He is a stalwart republican.
